Architecture is a very challenging task when you need to support
multiple regions crossing different time zone. The ability to
understand the in depth system architecture and the implications of
configuration is critical in future roll out of different sites in
different countries. Specific considerations to the languages,
Domains, Entities and number of databases are to be made in order to
create a sustainable infra-structure for enterprise services support.
With QAD EE2012 or higher, the creation of multiple environment and
the maintenance is not straight forward compared to the old versions.
Keeping the code consistency and performance are always the key
challenge. Understanding the limitations of QAD' QDT tool is a important in planning the installation. The following are the services related to QAD MFG/PRO which Probase Consulting provides: 1.QAD MFG/PRO Implemenation & project management. This includes taking on as Project Manager and implement the project based on the methodology described below. 2. QAD MFG/PRO customization. QAD MFG/PRO performance tuning. MFG/PRO IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGYProbase Consulting uses proven MFG/PRO® implementation methodology. This methodology is based on experience in the real word and the knowledge of what really works. Probase Consulting project managers are experienced in the execution of this methodology and as a result we have been able to deliver consistent results. Our methodology is based on a 4 phased approach. Phase 1 - Plan Formation of Project team and define and agree on the project scope. During this phase of the project, the team will identify business processes targeted for improvement and perform Gap Analysis. Using Gap Analysis outcome, a project detailed plan is created. Phase 2 - Design Based on Gap Analysis, the project team will develop the business operating model using MFG/PRO as a base. Standard MFG/PRO training will be conducted to key users who will be involved in designing the new business model. After which the team will design new business process models. Once a model has been agreed upon and designed, the project team will run the model through business simulations or "proof of concept" to validate the system design. During this stage all the customization will be identified and specifications will be written. Phase 3 - Execution Customization and Interfaces will be developed and tested. After which, the project enters into Conference Room Pilot (CRP) where the team starts to prepare data for the pilot. The team run through all the new business model using the new technology and test the design. The team must decide if the new business model meets the needs of the business requirement. Once all levels of organisation approve the new business model, the system is ready for deployment. Customized training based on the new business model will be done for all users to prepare them for the new system. Phase 4 - Deploy The approved new business model is now ready to be deploy (Roll-Out) for the business users. The team prepares the final data for deployment. The system is frozen for any changes. Master data, deployment plans, contingency plans are examined and quality assurance audits are executed and analyzed. Deployment plans are published and the project team executes the cutover and official move to the new business systems.
