Here is a summary of some of the projects that Probase Consulting has undertaken over the last few years.

2009:

Rapid implementation of complete manufacturing using old version (QAD eB) of ERP. Completed Master Data, Inventory, Product Structure, Routing/WC, SO, PO, WO, SFC, MRP, AR, AP, GL within 8 weeks. Interfaces to Oracle ERP (GL, Invoice). This is implemented for an American Aviation Company’s Service Operation. The main business is to repair aircraft engines and produce some of the part for servicing.

Webspeed Application development – enhancing ATP (Available-to-Promise) application that has been developed using Webspeed due to changes in Business Logic. This is a “headless” Web application where the Query post from another system running Oracle Distribution package. This Webspeed ATP application will return results of ATP Date & Qty for commitment. This system then uses Webmethod to send in Order Request to QLQ and SO will be created automatically.

System Migration from QAD to SAP. This project involved transferring all the assets from QAD application to an SAP application that is already running due to merger of companies. It involved carefully timed physical inventory, balance update and export of data (closing balances and some transactions).

Webspeed Development Training for customer. This is a specially customised course where development of Webspeed is done using Progress 4GL Editor. No Webspeed Workshop is used. This is one-of-a-kind situation that is very specific to this customer.

2008:

Rapid creation of new MFG/PRO database using logical splitting of data. System involved various customizations, EDI interfaces. Customer forming a joint venture and new databases to be created to filter out certain data involving multiple countries. This project was done on an old version of MFG/PRO with multiple databases. To avoid production down time, the project was carefully planned and executed without production shut down.

MFG/PRO operation support services including technical support and application support. Technical support covers database management, batch job management, system backup, supply chain integration support (QLQ + Web Method) and customization support.

2007:

MFG/PRO Database Logical Splitting: This project involves spliting logically into 2 separate entities. A new MFG/PRO Database is created using a subset of the original database using logical criteria. Item Master, Customers, Suppliers, Invoices, Orders and so on are splitted. Re-implement and configure QLQ Interfaces. Total of 4 countries each having different entities, base currencies, languages and charts of accounts. All 4 databases cut-over on the same day. Ongoing support & hand over.

MFG/PRO Audit Report Extraction (Open AP, Supplier Payments, PO/Invoice Price Variance, Sales Register, Open AR, AR Memo, WIP, Un-invoiced PO Receipts, etc). Ongoing support.

MFG/PRO Document Print Customization (Invoice, PO, SO, etc). Ad-hoc support.

2006

System Architecture Consulting Project with a large US based Insurance Company for general insurance. Designing an Integrated Underwriting System involving using MetaStorm BPM, J2EE, Xythos Document Management & AS/400.
